I have been away from the domaining scene for quite a while but this contest attracted me once again like there last contest. Once again they have got a great Prizes lineup for this contest and the total prize money is worth more than $4800 which includes cash and prizes.

Organizations that own .org domains may soon find themselves paying a bit more to renew, transfer, and register new domains. The company that operates the .org domain, Public Interest Registry (PIR), has decided to raise wholesale rates from $6.15 to $6.75 per domain this year—a 10 percent fee increase, following last year’s 2.5 percent increase. Of course, smaller registrars that buy wholesale domains won’t want to eat that fee themselves, meaning that they will likely pass on the increase to customers.

Description of Jeff: Jeff is a Crazy GIT over at NamePros.com and its his day job to speak up agaisnt the .mobi extension and to Flame People and to make them angry an when people start talking about Jeff and how annoying he is the Thread Gets Deleted and when you make another thread about why the older thread got deleted it gets deleted too.

A Man from Maidenhead has launched a campaign to ensure a corner of the Internet remains "forever English", John Sewell is hoping to raise support for a new domain name that will allow the English to show off their Englishness.He is asking people to sign a petition for a new domain extension dot eng or .eng
John Sewell has setup a website www.doteng.org to collect signatures for the .eng petition and afterwards will deliver the signatures to ICANN.This is not the only campaign , the Scots have there own movement for .sco (www.dotsco.org) and Welsh have there .cym (www.dotcym.org) .
Sewell says .eng is about
"remembering what’s great about England – tea, the Beatles, London, the Queen, beer, cricket."
While a spokesman for ICANN said Sewell probably won’t even be able to start the application process until next year.

7 was a lucky number this week as Sedo.com brokered a big £175,000 ($343,208) sale of 770.com to easily take the top spot on our weekly chart. The domain was purchased by European online gaming operator Casino770. The price for that domain was almost five times larger than #2 SmartTrade.com, a name that tallied $72,000 at the AfternicDLS.
